HOT Hot Hot

Oh my can it get any hotter.  Yesterday I put up pickles and I thought I was going to burn up.  I did it over at our little kitchen we have in our farm shop.  If I had known it was going to be a heat wave I would not have started this the first of the week.  But I will be glad I did when I am eating the wonderful sweet pickles. Ended up with 15 pints and 3 quarts.  I think Knox thought I was going to pass out because my face got so red from the heat in the kitchen. He told me you need to drink water so you don't pass out. We also put up some corn that morning.  I love sweet corn!!!

Then last night went to Guthrie to the "Murder at the Black Patch" dinner and murder mystery play.  It was a wonderful evening with my mom, sister and mother in law.  We really had a enjoyable time even though we didn't solve the mystery.

I had alot of friends ask me about The Hayloft and some expressed interest in being a vendor.  I have had several contacts this past week and feel really good about them. I am up to about 15 vendors and continue to work on securing more.  My ad should be coming out in The Folk Magazine with the July/August issue this week.  That is really exciting for me !!!!

The barn if you noticed the pictures on The Hayloft page on facebook shows the new paint.  It really looks like a new barn.  It has great insides the wood floor upstairs and then I have the lower section that I can work with also.  I am hoping to get back on the lighting this week. So make sure you follow the facebook page so you can see the pics. I just figured out to insert a picture on my blog.  This is the new paint the first picture and the other is the before pic.  So the black really looks good.  If you know  us you know we like black barns.

Well I am going to call it a night so I will try not to be MIA this week.
Hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July and if traveling be safe.
